i remember the game that i went to in '04 at tulsa was pretty much sold out. we won that game, got chased from the parking lot by a bunch of goonies. i'm sure that it'll pick up for rivalries

It would be so very cool beans and nostalgic if the Shocks could pull off a Tourney at Intrust Arena with some old Valley foes and other opponents such as Louisville, Tulsa, Cincinnati, Memphis State, St. Louis, and Loyola-Chicago.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Its funny because alot of the ku high and mighty folks think of themselves as the princeton of the plains. A customer of mine years ago related a story that he had worked his way through college as a fix it guy for people who had no idea or inkling as to how to fix things that break in life. This job was back east and said the graduates of princeton in particular had a certain "air" about them and later in life when he moved to Wichita noticed once again that same "air" surrounded the ku folks. This article just shows that the "air" has been around a long long time.

Nice article. Many good lines but I really like this one:

"The fact remains that at the moment the Valley is the No. 1 basketball conference in the country. Nor does there seem to be a likelihood that it will lose its position very soon."
