Don't enter if you're not interested in Matty P

I debated making this topic, because this is obviously giving him the attention he wants. I figured some of you would care enough and would want to hear about it so I decided to post it.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way:


Matty P got into a pissing match with Hawkeye Insider Rob Howe.

It gets good about 7 minutes in. It continues for about 5 more minutes.

I'm really not sure who was in the wrong here, but based on previous history, I'm sure we can make our own conclusions.

I did like these quotes from Rob Howe: "you're not a media member" and "you stir the pot and throw information out there, try to get followers on twitter with bad information" and "you're childish, immature."

Rob Howe continues to call Matty P out for his "tactics" which Matty P responds to by cutting Rob Howe off the show.

Post-fight quote from Matty P, "As with most people I get into on-air fights with - I rarely start it."

Of course all of this resulted in a large thread on Iowa's message board. Is this Matty P guy good or what?


Oh wow, I'm still listening 16 minutes in and now a call-in listener is letting Matt have it. A couple other call-in listeners also give their opinion that they don't like the way Matt works.

I listened to more of that than I'm comfortable admitting, but if you get to the caller at around the 24-minute mark he pegged the problem with Matilda. MP made light of the situation at Iowa by laughing at other people's jokes about it. He says on air it's part of his job to do that. On one hand he wants respect as a professional media member but acts like a total jerk, then tries to justify it.

I give major props to the Des Moines listeners who showed a great deal more professionalism when they called in to disagree with Matilda.

How many "professional members of the media" do you know that have webbed themselves into social media as much as that geek has? Seriously, how many do you know that post on sports message boards, in the manner that he does? He went over to the Iowa boards the night of this botched disaster and tried to defend himself to the very end. What other media mogul would add fuel to the fire and get in the middle of a message board war?

The guy is a pansy. I've figured out that it's gotten to the point to where he just does it for the ratings because the normal talk show format isn't working. He's just doesn't have it. He's ignorant and way underqualified. I'm surprised the radio station in Des Moines has that long of a leash. They must be really desperate.

Hopefully, less and less will listen and the sooner this idiot is back in the unemployment line.

Matty, you're probably reading this. I'm assuming you are, at least, because you're just the kind of guy who searches for his name on the Internet about every two days or so. You're also probably the kind of guy who drapes his socks across his nose at the end of every day just to smell his "brand," but I digress.

The common thread in all of your "on-air," in person, and Internet fights is YOU. You understand that, don't you? You understand that most people live their lives without getting into arguments like you do, don't you?

You're just a dumb person.
