It makes sense...the team that won by 22 droped 37 in the RPI, while the team that lost by 22 jumped 7 spots. What's not to understand?

Why thank Alabama A&M? It's not their fault.

My entire post was intended to be taken sarcastically, especially given the last sentence.

There is absolutely NO benefactors in games like last night. If we win by 50, it's still a loss in so many ways.

I'm sure, despite the loss, Alabama A&M considers last night fairly lucrative.

over the past few years, ive taken some time before each game to learn about the team we're playing and where they come from. i noticed that their coach has been with them since 1986, and has had a lot of success at the division II level at alabama a&m. my wonder is..why has he never moved up?

Yea, I knew that. It's just that having more than 2 of these type games is frustrating and it blurted out.

I did like your second line. Need 20 wins for job security and resume padding.

This early in the season rpi is going to be screwed up, there is no sense in paying attention to it right now.

RPI at this time is completely meaningless.

Example: Delaware (5-2) won at home against Delaware St (2-5). Delaware's rpi jumped 98 points to 75. Delaware St.'s rpi also jumped 89 points to 137.

As I posted last night, no need gnash our teeth on the immediate RPI as it meaningless. The only thing that matters is WSU needs to just win.

Here is the RPI forecast by project final record

                      26-2 RPI 17
                      25-3 RPI 21
                      24-4 RPI 27
                      23-5 RPI 33
                      22-6 RPI 41
                      21-7 RPI 50
                      20-8 RPI 61
                      19-9 RPI 74

Another interesting fact is our % of finishing 22-6 or 21-7 shifted 4% after last night. These RPIs have also dropped 2-3 over the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure if this is caused from teams like LSU and the rest of the Valley not performing well. I also wonder if the numbers are going to continue to drop.

Can't say for certain of course but the biggest reason I have seen for people to not want to move is family.

They will fluctuate based on how teams perform based on their projections. If the MVC would finish strong in the remaining non-conference maybe the decline can be stemmed.
