FacultyHub is proud of only posting 4 times in 2 years here. I'm proud to say I hope he keeps with the trend.

From the video I have seen of Wessell he can dribble, pass, shoot from mid range and dunk. Any comparisons to Hatch are therefore ridiculous.

Why are the comparisons about work ethic, hustle and understanding ridiculous? That's really the only comparison that's really been made.

The only 2 reasons to even compare Wessel to Hatch are:

            1) Exhibits toughness like Hatch does.
            2) Does the little things to make the team better.

Otherwise, you could just as well compare him to Mario Little (on court) or to Travis Releford or Brady Morningstar.

He justs looks like a 'glue' player, one that will make the team work as it should. And with 2 good scorers we have coming in in Hall and White, he should have a lot of fun feeding them around the basket.

IMO, he doesn't have miles to go to play Div-1 ball, unless you call a freshman year, miles-to-go. He has the enthusiasm and the motor, it just needs to be tempered to Div-1 ball.

Unless you have watched Heights play and practice for two years straight and put up with that uber douche Auer then you know as much about Wessell's motor and glue skills as I do about brain surgery and the 13th level of Scientology.

Can Wessel play defense against a point guard?

I have only seen him play twice, so I don't know...but the question is can current Shocker point guards consistently defense a point guard? Time will tell I suppose.
