Not impressed with his 0.7 assist to turnover differential. I grant he gets his share of boards, though more due to Durley not getting his lazy assets to the glass. I'm not cold or fever. I wont sit here and argue with you ad infitum. I have made my case and you see it differently.

I'm with Mr. Balla I think. (giving myself some wiggle room)
Great effort, toughness, scappiness are wonderful, but if they aren't resultiing in points, or if the other things like turnoevers negate it, what is the point.
Doesn't mean that Hatch shouldn't play, but I think I'll take Ben Smith over Hatch.

His 3PT shooting us up 5+% from last season and he's 2nd on the team in boards. He is also getting to the FT line a little more in fewer minutes, meaning he's drawing at least as many more fouls as he's committing. (That is, comparing the per-game increases over last season.)
He isn't taking as many shots because he doesn't have to, thanks to the emergence of Mr. Kyles.

I know there have been several times this year where he has past up open 3s. Perhaps he should shoot those and forget some of the 2s: 6-13 from 3, 5-15 inside 3. I know, small sample, but, offensively, isn't that why he's in there?

I think Graham is a great role player whose talents would be best used off the bench and in limited minutes(20/game might be pushing it). He is a key player for this team because he is great at making hustle plays, snatching up rebounds, and making the occassional three.
However, he does not shoot free throws well in the clutch or at all (66%). He tends to make ill advised or lazy passes on offense. And, I'm probably missing something, but I don't think he plays that great of defense. Sure, he gets more out of less on D than any of our players but that still doesn't cut it most of the time. He also fouls way too much and makes it obvious with his hands up "what, me?" look that he often adopts after/during the foul.
Graham is all I can ask for and more from a role player coming off the bench but I don't see him as a starter or as a guy I like to see playing towards the end of the game.
One thing is certain, there are vastly different opinions of him on this board.

Let's settle this - I'll call Marshall and record my part of the conversation:
Hey, Gregg, who's the best SF on the team?
There's a bunch of guys on ShockerNet who want him to spend more time on the bench. Do you have anything to say about that?
Uh Huh.

I see your point

Well, obviously

Can't argue with that

Uh, Gregg, we've been on the phone for an hour now - I've got to go. thanks for the info.
OK, now that that's settled...
...On to some meaningful discussions - like starting football and joining the Big 10.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

We're not stupid. We don't think Shockernet is a suggestion box for Coach Marshall. We don't think we know better than he does.
