Sorry for the digression, you may continue.
    Couldn't agree more.

We've shown that when we play smart basketball (protect the ball, defend every possession, rebound) we can play with any team in the country. We need to keep getting better and learn to avoid the type of mental lapses that cost us in our two losses.
And do you feel we learned from the UConn game and got better before we played San Diego? How do you feel now?

BTW, what is Nicholls State RPI?
Good question, and one I'm not sure I can fully answer yet. I don't think that the most important lesson, that defense and rebounding and effort win games, has quite sunk in yet. This is something we need to continue to improve on.

Seriously, I'm in the camp that thinks you have to respect every team you play no matter what the jersey says.
didnt realize my respect, or lack thereof, for an opponent made the first bit of difference in the outcome of a basketball game. i will remember this next time i am sitting at home while wsu plays team x on the road and loses and think to myself "if only i had respected team x's ability just a little more..."

One area that hasn't been mentioned that also makes this a potential trap game has to do with turnovers and steals.

            Against D1 opponents:

            Code:
                  TO OppTO Stls
            WSU 13.7 11.6 5.3
            NSU 11.7 18.7 9.0

NSU does do a god job of generally protecting the ball and are good at steals, but some of their numbers are inflated from their last 2 non DI opponents. NSU steals of 29 and OppTO of 57.

I only factored in D1 opponents (Houston, LSU, Oklahoma St. and Tulane).

Is a game being played tonight? From all the talk about the crappy Valley, SDSU and how Graham Hatch is either "a gritty Navy SEAL" or the worst basketball player in the history of Earth, it wouldn't seem so.

Beside the guy who scores all of their points, and that they beat LSU, what do we know about Nicholls State?

They run a Princeton style offense... so I'm assuming some back door baskets. Yes, the Australian dude scores over 25 per game and had 37 against OKST; however in a 20 point loss. Another dude scores 16 per game. They have a bunch of small dudes... 6'-6" tallest player. Go Shocks!

Keep Anatoly Bose and Fred Hunter from going off and it should be an easy game
