  • Scoreboard Malfunction?

At the UMKC game, did a portion of the scoreboard malfunction?

I am referring to the stack of players' names and points scored, which appears on the far left and right of the screen.

In the second half, there was a long period of time, where Chamberlain's nunber was not listed, but he was in the game.

There have often been instances, where the player information was incorrect. Is there difficulty in keeping track of players and inputting it to the board? (This is a civil question, not a criticism.)

    Probably should be a criticism.

I think a lot of it has to do with who is checking in and if they inform the table of who they're going in for. I notice much of the time it appears they inform them who they're replacing. If it's done during a time out it may be harder to determine who is no longer in the game as they're looking thru a lot of bodies. Especially if there are multiple subs.

I would agree, but you'd think they'd catch it quicker and update. Who actually does the updating? It seems odd that a player can score, even a couple of times, and the board not be updated.

I thought it was our strategy for cooling off Reggie, during that time period he did nothing after lighting us up for 12 early points. Some say that was due to Toure putting the clamps on Reggie, but I think Reggie just didn't realize he was in the game since his number wan't on the board.
HCGM leaves not stone unturned and he no doubt has the board operators trained in such details.

Clearly it is Eric Sexton's fault.

I think the problem becomes who does he replace. They have to find the number of the guy who is no longer in and they don't have as good a view as many of us considering the angles. This is a big deal to the lady who sits behind me but she has a hard time figuring out which player isn't in and I'm pretty sure it's easier for us to see than the guy at the table who does it.

Agreed. The eff-ups are mounting each and every day/game.

                      3 things I saw:

In the intro it says JT is from Pittsburgh, KS.
They spell Toure's last name Murray
And somehow SHOCKERS turned into KERSSHOC

When did those happen? I want to see if they've caught them by tomorrow night.

Of course, now that the AD's office has read your post, it will immediately be corrected.
