Is there any chance that this thread will become the new record for number of pages and push the EO thread to the side?

    Just wondering.

Regardless, I am pretty sure this thread sets a record for parsing.

Here I was thumping my chest and pulling on my jersey for using "egregious", only to be out done in the end by "parsing". I hope nobody saw me spike the ball. I'll still have to figure out how to explain the ceiling to my better half. I'm sure that'll get a T.

Back again. Do you really want to call a player out of bounds ever time they step on the line just a little bit?

I think we should petition the NCAA to come up with a "little bit" rule book to include degrees of little bit. We shouldn't expect a player to lose possession just because he stepped out of bounds a little bit; and for a player to be t'd up because he bounced the ball a little bit high when the course of the game is a little bit not in doubt. That's hog wash I say...hog wash!!!

Actually, I suppose that's the entire discussion; should the rules in the first minute of the game, be exactly the same rules that are used in the last minute of the game?

In theory yes, but in the Drake case the player bounced the ball as a display of "oh, what a battle, we are going to win...now I can exhale." Let's face it, that reaction won't happen with 2 seconds short of the second media timeout in the first half.

I think the ball can be bounced anytime at all, but I am going to the bar now.

                  It's official.

We care more how this game turned out than Drake fans do.

What do they have to care about?

We're just discussing a rule / non-rule interpretation and got 5 pages worth. I haven't looked. How many pages did they get?
