I wouldn't be surprised if we got beat up down low by SDSU. But we are a good rebounding team and have something in the paint so their analysis isn't exactly spot on. I don't know how deep SDSU's bench is, so I can't comment on that.

They're definitely giving us a good amount of respect and I particularly liked this comment

Also, the refs were making some ridiculous calls against WSU. It really looked like a BYU game. Had the refs called it straight up, WSU would've won.

Yeah overall they give us some respect in a few different threads. A few times even saying we will be their best OOC opponent. Until UConn proves that they are truely a top 15 type of a team by showing Maui wasn't a fluke I feel that San Diego St is by far our best OOC opponent as well. Gonna be a tough one for sure! Wish it was in Wichita.

Lots of respect from the SDSU fans.

They have a built a solid program down there with Fisher. They have a freaking awesome OOC schedule too - at Gonzaga (already win), St. Mary's at home, California, us, etc. A nice of mix of quality middies and decent BCS's.

They're the real deal. I'm looking forward to the challenge, but honestly, we have quite a ways to go (especially on defense) before we can even think about sniffing out a win.

Noticed a certain trend for SDSU. With the exception of Gonzaga, they get off to slow starts and blast back in the second. Last night, against an NAIA school, SDSU was up only 4 with 5 minutes left in the half. Ended up 10 at half and won by 19.

In their other 4 contests, they have been up by 5, tied, down by 3 and 5. In the first half they were out scored 134-137. In the second half, however, they been great, winning every half by at least 14 points. Total: 164-100.

Don't know if they just get off to slow starts, their depth takes over in the second half, but this has pretty much happened every game except one (by far their toughest opponent). St. Mary's game should tell us a lot more.

SDSU is a very good team. However, remember the demise George Mason administered to the Shocks at 21st and Hillside and at the Dance thereafter? Likewise, may I not look ahead, 'putting the cart before the horse' but yet desire earnestly that our Shocks find a way to win this vastly important game in our immediate future? Stranger things have happened here on Planet Earth--3rd rock from the Sun. :shock:

I hope most of the local sports bars are able to get the game (it sounds like DIRECT TV is the only one that will have it), so we have some place to go to watch it.

I remember we played on the moutain west channel a couple years ago against TCU, and I had to go to a sports bar to watch it.

I watched that game at Larry Bud's. I was thinking that game was on the MTN but couldn't remember.

That really sucks the game isn't on regular cable. I'd rather watch it in my own home instead of having to go to a bar where I can't hear anything.
