Games of interest for week of Nov. 25th - Dec. 1st
I listened to the second half of the Davidson-AppSt game. Davidson doesn't have a trong announcing crew - it was hard to tell much of anything from the game - especially since one of Davidson's players (Curry) went off for something like 40 points.
AppSt shot decent (around 45%), got out rebounded but never gave up. AppSt outscored Davidson by 3 in the second half and had a couple of runs that cut the margin to around 7. AppSt won't let a double-digit lead intimidate them.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
I know I don't really have to since results are posted, but I updated anyway :)

Changing up the legend a little:
TX A&M (6-0) vs Alabama (3-1)
Tip-off 8pm CST
Northern Colorado (2-2) vs Colorado St (3-1)
Tip-off 7:05pm CST
Does anyone know if the Tex A&M Vs. Alabama game is on TV in Wichita?
It's not listed on any of the ESPN networks, so I would say probably not.

Notable performance from Monday: Stephen Curry went nuts against Appalachian State and finished with 38 points and six rebounds while leading Davidson to a 71-60 win. Curry was 14-of-27 from the field, including 9-of-16 from 3-point range, which isn't bad for a sophomore guard with a torn ligament in his left wrist.

Toward the end of the game (from 4:50 until :40) Josten scored 11 points. No one else on either team scored any. That took the game from 46-45 to 57-45. And then the fat lady sang.

Sweet the Valley owns Iowa!
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
Just wondering how Valley Teams are shaping up versus the Big 12 thus far? Are we undefeated against them? If so, I wonder if there are many more games the Valley has left versus the Big 12. It seems like last year the 2 Conferences were somewhat close to equal in wins and losses against each other. Maybe the Valley can dominate them this year, the few opportunities we get to try.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
