Seems like everybody had an OK to very good line in the box score. Everybody contributed and no one had a bad game. It'll be interesting to see the Prouty, but I'd bet Kyles might finish 10th in this game.

They do and they are very young. They'll get better, but they are going to struggle in the ACC. Fortunately, there are a few bad teams this year, with any luck, they won't be included with those at the end.

True, but they could and should get better throughout the year and may be able to win some games in a weaker than normal ACC conference.
Duke may run the table.

I think that's a BIG positive to take from the game. We've kind have been riding David so far, he goes 2-5 and doesn't force anything except 1 bad 3, has no boards and 1 assist.....and everyone else picks him up.
If Ellis is not in the game, what do you do if you are the other team and just have 1 defensive liability? Leave Hatch alone??
I am starting to think that Aargh is right about our Valley prospects....if we remain healthy, we could be dominating.

Holy cow, Bradley lost to 1-3 Eastern Illinois.
Lest you think EIU has been traveling through the ACC, their loses are to South Dakota State by 12, @ Ball State by 31, and at Loyola-Illinois by 12.
The game was at Bradley. In fairness, any game that Sam Maniscalco is 1-7 from 3 with 8 turnovers, Bradley is probably going to lose.

I wanted to see what the team would do if they weren't hitting shots. I was concerned when they were down 20-4. This team a couple years ago would make a valiant effort to close the gap but run out of gas and not know how to finish the game thus losing by 8 points or so.
I was happy to see how our experience and depth took over tonight. I know it was a pretty bad Virginia team, regardless I thought they showed alot to overcome that deficit and then build on it from there. We outscored them by 28 points after they led 20-4. Plus I felt our defense got a little better as the game went on. These are all good things to continue to build on.
With that said, while we got better during this tournament we didn't capitalize like we needed to. At large is still possible, but the margin of error got even smaller. For a "mid-major" like us that is huge."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Evansville loses at Middle Tennessee State 82-70.
The MVC is looking more and more like a one-bid league unless a team (like the Shocks) can totally dominate the league and at least make it to the Chamipionship game. Still our RPI is going to suffer.
The SDS game is looming quite large at this point.
