WSU VERSUS CHAMINADE PREDICTIONS

Here's the deal. WSU needs win 2 games here, one at a time. Channel 12 just said we led 36 of the 40 minutes. However, that heart-break is over and done with. Chaminade played Michigan State way tougher than I expected. Even so, we will win. That's all!!!!!!!

Boy I don't know LOL. Our weakness today was that Walker drove on us at will. Chaminade has a guy (Bennett) who looks almost just as capable. He may not be as talented, but he is tough and fast. Reminds me alot of Newman's #5. The only thing is they also have pretty good big guys that like to rebound. This is gonna be tougher than expected. I'm just hoping for a win honestly. I'll go with:

Stutz got abused by Tx Southern's big men, he got abused today. I love the big guy, but something is going on in his head. Perhaps a confidence thing? Or maybe the pressure of being looked to as a leader. Who knows? And those Chaminade big guys look pretty decent. Hope he gets it together by tomorrow, but I don't know.

Maybe a close L, but a blow out? That would seriously alter expectations for the year. Let's hope the coach and players are more mentally tough than that crap.

That is what I'm afraid of also.

This will be a test of maturity, will they pout or come out with a chip on their shoulder and take care of business. This game will be a test of how they are going to respond to adversity this year.

It all boils down to how the team reacts.

Come out pissed and we win.

Otherwise, it won't be pretty.

We'll just have to see what the Shocks are made and I'm betting they come out PISSED.

Chaminade was tied with Michigan State at halftime. I can see four outcomes:

1) We get behind due to the let down, and then coming from behind to eek it out (I'm hoping we have that type of maturity, given our experience).

2) We get too far behind due to the let down, and panic enough that we lose.

3) The third option is we come out pissed and undisciplined, causing us to foul too much and be a bit more selfish than we should be (e.g. jacking up 3s early in the clock). If we do that we probably win by a slim margin.

4) The best scenario: We play very, very loose because the pressure of yesterday is over. Lots of our players get PT, and they all perform reasonably well. If we do that we win soundly.

Too hard to tell what's in their heads.

Since 3/4 of my scenario ends in a win, I will go with a win.

Since 1/2 of my scenarios is equals barely win, I should predict a slim margin. But my walls are turning beautiful shades of yellow and black, so I am going with door number 4.

I was very disappointed in the Nevada game to end the season last year. There was a lack of fight, determination, and moxie. This team needs to reverse this today.
