What I meant by that statement was Gonzaga as a program would have won that game, not necessarily their team.
Confusing I know, but at least I know what I'm talking about.
Lets get the job done Today though! The mountains are calling, and I must go.

If for one have grown weary of watching one player light up WSU (even if it is a player like Walker) – it just happens too often.
I was disappointed they didn’t take advantage of Walker’s foul trouble in the first half; but you have to give UConn’s young players some credit – they played hard and kept it close. UConn will surprise a lot of people this year.
Turnovers and fouls aside there were some positives. Some random thoughts/comments: I have faith that the PG issues will work themselves out; however, it is a big problem right now. Ragland needs to calm down and Williams appears to try to do things too quickly. The only positive thing I can say about Murry playing PG is that it puts Kyles in at SG. This is the second game in a row that Kyles has played relatively well (he is active on offense and defense) – maybe he is finally coming around. This is also the second game in a row Stutz has looked outclassed – so far he appears to have regressed not improved. Ellis continues to do the little things and provide significant value to the team – and so does Hatch. Blair looked good out there as well. Durley was active; however, he needs to provide a better low post offensive presence – we are not really getting it anywhere else. Smith was a non-factor – but I’ll let him slide for now – he is probably still adjusting to his role on this team. EO didn’t really play and shouldn’t have – he is not ready for this type of game.
The number of turnovers and silly fouls yesterday – is simply unacceptable. And I won’t buy any excuses about this being only the second game – I expect more out of a veteran team. WSU gave Walker an opportunity to beat them – and, being the player he is, he took advantage. So I give a tip of the hat to UConn and Walker.
I am disappointed they lost yesterday and it is sad and infuriating that it puts the team’s potential at-large bid (so early in the season) in jeopardy. But it is what it is – hopefully the team will learn from this loss (lessons they probably should have mastered all ready).
