  • You either get the job done

or you don't. Simple as that.

One of these days we need to start winning these games and until we do I am not going to be sold on how good our program is. Cause it isn't good, until you knock off the big programs.

Gonzaga would have won that game, just sayin.

Agreed. Until we start winning these games we are just a solid midmajor program. One that can beat a "big boy" if they just don't show up, but can't beat them if they play a decent game. We had plenty of opportunities to win this game and stopping Walker (easier said than done) from waltzing to the bucket a few times might have helped. Absolutely the refs didn't help, but we can't plan on getting the benefit of the doubt until we earn it.

Who are you talking to? The players or the fans?

If you are talking to the players, what is your reason for telling them not to complain about the officiating?

If you are talking to the fans, how are we supposed to play our guts out and what will that accomplish?

I can buy the argument that players need to be able to shrug off bad officiating and play through it. Fans don't need to do that, and have the right to vent about officiating that hurt their team, especially in egregious cases.

Also, if you have such a problem with fans whining, why are you whining about other fans whining?

I was directing the comment at fans obsessing about something that is in nobodys control and is absent in the history books ( aka this team was the
best in 1902 but they got jobbed so they didn't win the title) but.....

                  You're right, sorry I blew up :)

I watched a replay on the game (only got to listen to it at work), yeah there were a couple questionable calls (and there will always will be) but that is not why WSU didn't win.

                    1. WSU lived by the 3 and they died by it. Durley has to do better than 5-14 from the field.

                    2. Marshall didn't make any adjustments to try and make UCONN do something different and take them out of their comfort zone.

                    3. To many pure lazy turnovers

Kennedy needs to tone down his homer-ism. There were some calls he was complaining about that the way he reacted it made you think it was blatently obvious that refs were screwing, but when I watched the replay he was either wrong on (one of Stutz screen) or could go either way.

I really didn't have problem with the Refs (the refs that the MVC hires will be worse than these guys).

Steven Gray, who has been terrific in other games, could not get it done against KSU tonight, and is questionable if Gonzaga could have won our game.
