    ESPN is swinging....

I actually thought the ESPN crew did fairly well. They thought we got the bad end of some whistles.

More than anything else it was the referees, specifically Mr. Clean.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

They were unbiased...but Jesus Christ did they say his name like 1000 times.

My wife (who hates sports) was like: "Is this guy the next Michael Jordan or something?" I'm like "Not quite...but he is good". She says "You would think he is the second coming as much as they're pimping him."

Agreed. But to be fair, they had to mention his name 1000 times with as many times the referees were blowing all over his junk.

It was sad to see the officials make a bad call at the end of the game to keep of from having a shot at winning the game. They did not make us lose the game but they took away our chance to win it by a bad call on Stutz.

I thought the ESPN crew did real well. Actually I felt during most of the 2nd half they were all about JT Durley and Murry. It wasn't till the last 5 mins that it got annoying. But I agree it's because the refs were bowing to his almighty.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

If that charge had gone against His Highness, it would have been his 4th foul early in the second half and he wouldn't have played near the minutes he played.

I was not impressed with the announcers. Most of the first half they were calling JT "TJ". The comment that really set me off was when we made a bad lob pass inside, the comment was something like, "You can make those passes in the Missouri Valley, but not at this level of play." I was all, FU, dude! It was a bad pass, why diss the whole conference? I never heard any crap like that concerning UConn's play or mistakes.

Yes, that comment was ridiculous - that pass would have been bad in grade school.

Maybe the refs are auditioning for TSA screeners.

In general, I think all of the play-by-play guys are awful and most of the color guys are awful. Brent Musburger is one of the worst.

They are poor about giving running stats such as team fouls, who fouled, the number of fouls committed by individual players, points scored by individuals and rebounds. Graphics are never presented on the screen.

Sometimes, it seems as if they are too caught up in their own self-importance. Sometimes their self serving blather has nothing to do with the game, which is being televised.

They all could take a few lessons from Mike Kennedy.

I had no problem, whatsoever, other than the one comment about the pass, with the announcers.

If anything, they took our side several times to include the two reversals and also the foul on Stutz. They further replayed all three plays and commented that they were missed calls. What more do you want?

They pointed out GM had to make a change to stop the penetration which was obvious to anyone watching the game.

Unfortunately, we did not have an answer and it is not obvious we will have one for the near future. The same can be said for the want of a PG!

I don't know, pronouncing players' names correctly might be a start.

That was a big deal. A crucial moment that was (IMO) called incorrectly. 3 points right there instead of his 4th foul. if they had called that a charge... totally different game from that point on.
Also that delayed call. the clear block that the ref changed after the UCONN player reacted... that was laaaaame

as for the commentators... Graham doesn't want to be a Navy SEAL, I'm dumbfounded as to how that got started. (unless he wanted to before he came to WSU, but it seemed like they were saying he wants to afterwards, which is ludicrous) He plans on being a Dentist.

I also noticed the shot at the Valley and the TJ Durley moments..
