Not sure if the WSU or IBA ticket office dropped the ball on this one, but certainly not the level of service either should be providing...

for ease of parking, and a close walk, the parking garage at topeka and william is a good choice if you don't mind paying $8.
if you're going for free, the lot at L-Dumont, with the quick Q-line ride isn't bad.
another option are any Old Town lots. might be a bit farther to walk, but not bad, and free.

A win at LSU and I hope this thing would push closer to the 14,000 sold mark. For nothing else than to show support for the Shox at a "neutral" site, I would think also a sellout for our first basketball game at the arena with our own damn team would be a good selling point to any NCAA members looking for future tournament sites in the coming years..Deuces Valley.

I know that the seating for the IBA game has been under scrutiny and I myself have complained by e-mail to the WSU athletic office. I received a call today apologizing for the location of my seats and letting me know that there qwas nothing that could be done to improve my seating situation. That was disapointing.
However, Dr. Sexton had his staff offer me his personal seats in section 120 and trade for mine in section 218 row U. I declined the offer but I am very impressed by Dr. Sexton. I know he has had his share of criticism on this site but he has really impressed me in this situation and shown his dedication to really make every fan happy. I may still have crappy seats but I'm a lot happier now than before!

Just shows a noisy wheel gets grease. Because he's not obviously making that offer to everybody who complained.

Ticket pricing seems more geared toward maximizing pricing than for selloing out the arena.
$26 for a seat behind the basket and 30+ rows up is a tough ticket to sell. You would think there would maybe be 2,000 or so seats in the $12 range if they were looking to fill the arena.
I realize WSU has no choice but to play a game there, so IBA management had all the leverage in negotiations. I think IBA management took advantage of that and dictated some terms to WSU.
One of the reasons for having a game at IBA (other than the NCAA requires it) is to give additional people a chance to see the team. Then IBA prices out a lot of people who might have wanted to attend.
I'm starting to put more and more of this problem on IBA management. WSU ande Sexton had absolutely no negotiating position. The NCAA required a game there. All IBA management would have had to do was say "bend over" and Sexton would have had no option other than to ask "how far".
We paid for the arena for "the public good". I can't fault management for wanting to maximize their profit, but that's removing some of "the public good" we paid for.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
