  • EARLY MVC RECORD

Through Sunday night the MVC is 8-4 in noncon action. Creighton and Indiana State are the only schools with multiple games played (CU 2-0; ISU 1-2). The Shockers are the only Valley school yet to tip off the 2010-11 season.

Two bad losses so far, both owned by Indiana State (Loyola-Ill & E. Kentucky).

Other two losses are nothing to be ashamed of; Northern Iowa's loss to Syracuse & SIU's loss to Illinois.

They may not be losses to be ashamed of (Illinois & Syracuse), but it would have been nice if they could have been a little more competitive against them. Getting blown out never looks good.

So far not a particulary strong or impressive start by the MVC.

I agree that the losses to Syracuse and Illinois aren't bad losses per se, but that it sure would have been nice to have been a little more compeitive.

A few of the MVC wins have also been quite a bit closer than expected.
