Toure deserves every bit of pub he gets.

I see Denzel Bowles and Kemba Walker on there...

Nice to know that Murry will contribute something.

I'd still like to see somebody, and it could be Murry, average 16-19 ppg for the team.

When you have 5-6 guys who can average double digits every night, it becomes less crucial to have a guy average 16-19.

The depth of this team can take us far. But what we need is for the team to recognize who has the hot hand on a game by game basis, and keep feeding the ball in that direction.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

On some of our not so good teams of the past; Murry, Stutz, or Durley could have been in the 15 plus range. My bet is that Stutz leads the team in scoring this year. He should average 20-25 minutes and that will be enough to get him in the 12.5+ ppg range (last 8 games of 09-10 he averaged about 14).

Most Valley teams won't have an answer for Stutz, and those that do, won't have an answer for Durley. Creighton and MSU match up ok but they can't match our 4 or 5 deep in the post. We should ware everyone down on the inside, and if we keep Stutz out of foul trouble, he will have his way with teams. That opens up the outside for TM to drive to the hoop and for everyone to hit the three.

Should be a good year, but with 4-6 players looking to average 10+ points per game and and another 3-5 that could put up 20 on any given night, having a player average more than 15 THIS YEAR is just asking for a second helping of gravy.

I still look for TM to improve his stats in all categories from last year. It would sure be "gravy" to see him move up a notch or two in his junior year and even more so in his senior year.

If TM continues to improve his shooting % his numbers will approach 15 per game.

It is nice to see Toure become a better around player, but I noticed his shot is still flat, not even having the arc that he had last year after working on it.

PJ's shot was flat. He turned out ok and dependable. Some players just do things unconventional. Maybe Toure' is just ment to have a flatter trajectory on his jumper.

Let me get this straight, after 1 exhibition game and a total of 5 shot attempts from the field, you are ready to make proclamations about Toure's shot?

Let me remind you of some other "observations" you have made about shooting on our team:

You said this in spite of the the fact that both Aaron and Toure have increased their shooting percentages year over year. You also love Aaron's shooting arc and hate Toure's even though Toure has shot at higher percentages at every equivalent point in career.

Based on past track record, I think that your proclamation that Toure's shot has not improved is the best evidence available that Toure's shooting percentage will be dramatically improved this year.

I think its safe to say he will contribute a little something. The great John Wooten was asked why he didn't try to change Keith Wilkes shot ,which he said was the ugliest thing he ever saw when he first saw him shoot it.He said it didn't matter how ugly it was as long as it went in.

Let's not compare apples to oranges here. AE is no Jamaal Wilkes. Wilkes came out of high school as a guarenteed stud of a star. A player the great John WOODEN knew was going to be a star on the college level. The reason Wooden didn't change Wilkes shot is because the ball was going in the hole at a regular and frequent rate. That isn't the case for AE. As a front-line player, who's field goal attempts are generally very close to the basket, one should reasonably be around 45-50% as a FG %. AE has shot over 40% in only one of his three season's.

Yes, AE will contribute...3-5 points per game & 3-5 rebounds per game at the very best case scenerio. And yes, he will set great picks and play superior perimeter defense. That's his ceiling. He deserves to play and contribute to the success of this team, this season. Let's call it like it is however...please.

Unless I am completely confused, I think AE is spelled TM.
