That was me being silly. There is no way I would have seriously predicted a loss to Newman after all of our weeks and weeks of lurking this website desperate for a basketball game to prove our Shox are NCAA tourney worthy. But nobody ribbed me about it, so I forgot about it. :)

One thing I also noticed at the game --- Half of the dance team needs to lose 15-20 pounds. They looked like they were imported in from Nebraska.

Demonstrating once again that i"m not afraid to address the "sensitive issues"...

...I know it's not politically correct to have a weight limit on the dance squad, but it seems they could have a "vertical leap" requirement. That should solve the problem.

I've noticed that the ones who don't look so good in spandex have pretty good moves.

A thought that I had while watching the game:

Newman had already played top 5 KSU. What affect did this have on them? Certainly, it could be expected, that they learned from the game, and were more prepared for the Shockers than if it had been their first D1 competition.

In thinking about this, the near 20 point victory, coupled with missing D Williams for the first half (and needing some serious PG contribution), are quite impressive. Obviously, the Shocks were much better in the second half against the Jets.

Marshall's got to be having a ball trying to put together the pieces he's got.
