A thought that I had while watching the game:
Newman had already played top 5 KSU. What affect did this have on them? Certainly, it could be expected, that they learned from the game, and were more prepared for the Shockers than if it had been their first D1 competition.
In thinking about this, the near 20 point victory, coupled with missing D Williams for the first half (and needing some serious PG contribution), are quite impressive. Obviously, the Shocks were much better in the second half against the Jets.
Marshall's got to be having a ball trying to put together the pieces he's got.
