It's hard to imagine who sits if only 8 play.

If he's talking "2nd half" crunch time ......I can see Aaron (based on history) and Ehimen (can't shoot FTs) left out.

I just can't see any scenario where Toure', Joe, Demetric, JT, Garrett, David, Graham, Ben and Gabe aren't all getting meaningful minutes.
If that is what he said then the major contributors on this team, at least for now, are solidifying in CGM’s mind.

I don’t like the prospect of TM getting big minutes at point, at all – obviously he is not a true PG. He fine in spurts but I would rather have the team exploit his talents at SG. But I am not the coach and I don’t watch the practices.

Joe and Ben just have to adjust to the speed from JUCO. Once they do that, it will all settle in.

JRag's and Ben's turnovers appeared to me to just be typical JUCO transition player type turnovers. Telegraphed passes on tight angles that more experienced four year players will anticipate, whereas JUCO players weren't experienced enough to anticipate them. So those passes work at two year schools, but not against four year schools.

That's a good thing, it just means getting used to the speed and quicker passes (before the angle is cut off). At least we weren't seeing lots of fundamentally stupid passes or ball handling turnovers from JRag, which is a much more troubling sign.

Unfortunately they don't have the luxury of getting solid D1 experience, other than tonight, before the big game at UConn.

Fortunately DWill _does_ have that experience, and proved he can handle it nicely last year. If DWill can keep the turnovers down to a minimum tonight and just let the game come to him, it bodes well. If not, Maui may not be as kind to us as we hoped.

I hope we get to see Murry do what Murry does best, which is not run the point.

TM starting at PG in the opener is a bit troublesome for me. He's a natural 2-man. What gives? Are Ragland and Williams that careless with the ball?

We've played one exhibition game. We haven't even laced em up for real yet. We all have raved about our physical talent for some time now. That little thing called chemistry has to now matchup. Rome wasn't built in a day, as the saying goes. Be patient.

How long exactly did it take to build Rome?

More than overnight. Did Clevin Hannah hit the ground running? Don't think so. I'm just saying, take some deep breaths and allow this team to take shape at all positions, especially at point guard. Someone asked earlier in the thread about Toure' starting vs. TSU. No he won't start at PG unless circumstances like injury, sickness or descipline intervene. Starting Toure' at point would send a message to the team I don't think would be healthy, or they could recover from We are going to take a punch or two early in the season at the point. It will be a strength by conference time.

One thing is for sure, that HCGM will play his most likely lineups for the season out in Maui against UConn, and other Opponents.

The PG question has to be settled tonight against Texas Southern, so the coach can feel confident with starting lineup against UConn.

That's what the general contractor would like you to think because that was the original bid. I have it on good authority that some inferior materials caused a delay of approximately 50 years.

Marshall said something to the effect that one of his veterans came to him and said he wanted to start and Marshall said he was pleased to hear that coming from that player. He didn't call a name but I would be pressed to say that veteran player was DK.I can see Marshall being pleased because that would mean DK had found some motivation and confidence to be a bigger difference maker. I think Marshall is estatic about the prospect of Murry and Kyles on the floor together,he's never hesitated putting those guys on the floor together even as freshmen. The more he see of Murry & Kyles the more it will grow on him especially if they're handling the ball efficiently, and of course defensively wsu go to another level.Honestly we've all been waiting for this DK moment.

IF this is true, then I will be so happy.

I would love for that to be true. DK has so much potential and can take this team to another level.
