  • Does anyone remember...

Maybe a year or two ago someone here linked to an essay which I think was by Kyle Whelliston of midmajority.com. He described some pretty serious problems in his life and how college basketball was a sort of constant for him--nobody ever gets old, the cheerleaders are always as pretty as you remember, etc. I'm not doing justice to a very well written piece but if anyone remembers it and can find it I'd like to read it again.

They are all on the Mid-Majority under the archives. I know this one talks about health problems. http://www.midmajority.com/p/1406 Not sure if its the exact one. I haven't read it in awhile.

If I can use this thread...Does anyone remember posting a link to a site* where you could create and fill out your own lists? Someone linked to it a while back and I can't remember the site. You create a list then the site creates a blank form in which you can recall the items...hopefully that is enough explanation.

pie n eye...you may be referring to Sporcle, and the post you are thinking of may be my own--

Can you name the members of the WSU basketball team since the 1996-1997 season??

...which is a pretty strange coincidence if this is what you're thinking of. And I guess I should update the list.

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for. What a bizarre coincidence...

Oh and btw I found the article(s) I was thinking of--in fact I was conflating two different pieces. The passage that stuck with me was the last 6 paragraphs of this post: http://www.midmajority.com/p/1399

I feel this way every time I walk into an arena. I suppose the fact that I conflated it with the other piece on health/financial/marriage problems says something too...

I read all of the ones from last year in the spring but forgot them. He wrote a really good one on the Valley once. http://www.midmajority.com/p/1566 You should read it if you haven't. He is a pretty big fan of the MVC. He also loves Koch Arena.
