The victory was a landmark for the conference, which has had teams such as Southern Illinois, Bradley and Creighton experience a marginal level of tournament success in the past.

Not sure I'd say Creighton has had any tournament success...you could probably replace them in that sentence with any other school in Valley.

Anybody that takes Bleacher Report seriously needs to have their head examined (no offense Henry). All you have to do is be approved as a contributor (applications are available on their site)...so any hack can submit articles to it. I'm thinking about dropping off the applications at my sons English class...some of them are better writers I'm pretty sure.

A landmark win for UNI, no doubt. Not for the conference.
