Excellent write up. Only things to add would be that Smith and Ragland were exceptional JUCO players that have a track record of good outside shooting.

All information was spot on, excepting that they cut two inches off of Hamilton's "reported" 6-7 stature.

I also noticed, first place to list Durley and Stutz both starting together other than a poster or two on here saying it. If that turns out to be true, then the 2nd line would be who?

      Rags
      Kyle
      Smith
      Blair
      Orukpe? or Ellis?

      Interesting to think about?

Not that far fetched considering they started together the later part of the season last year. We also never really have a true 2nd line since many of the players and positions are interchangeble. You might see JT slide over to the 5 and Blair come in at the 4, or Murry slide over to the 3, Williams at the 2 and Ragland at the 1. Lots of different options.

At the end of last year it was Durley and Stutz starting. No reason to believe it will be different next week.

I agree with the above. I think it's more than a poster or two sayint that Durley and Stutz start together, and even more would be saying so if they hadn't started together at the end of last year (it would be more of a topic of debate).

I think the starting 5 is:

Williams (subject to change, but if the season started last week...)
            Murry
            Hatch
            Durley
            Stutz

            Your second line:
            Ragland
            Kyles
            Smith
            Blair
Ellis/EO (depends on EO's progress, if Ellis red-shirts, match-ups, what the coaching staff wants to do offensively/defensively, etc.)

DEEEEEEEEEEP (as in still talented) Bench:
            Richardson
            Hamilton
            EO/Ellis

Likely to see 15+ minutes per game:
            Starting 5 plus...
Ragland - or Williams if Ragland starts
Kyles - has to keep his nose clean and do what the staff asks of him or he will get benched
Smith - I think they will find time for him, but if Rags is seeing time at the one and Williams at the one AND two, it gets a little difficult
Blair - Could push to start, but Durley and Stutz will be tough to beat out. Look for these three in the rotation for 18+ mpg with Durley moving to center when playing with Blair. EO and AE worked in for match ups, schemes, injuries, foul trouble, etc.

All-in-all it's a 9 man rotation with significant contribution from two more (EO and Ellis) and significant ceilings from the two red-shirt frosh. This just isn't their year. On a side note, in most of the previous 10 years (reasonable success) EO and Aaron Ellis start or are first off the bench.

                Ragland
                Murry
                Hatch
                Durley
                Stutz

...Williams, Blair, Ellis, Kyles (all experienced at D-1 level) off the bench, combined with that talented starting five, is what should really set WSU apart from the pack.

Man, practices must be h#!% for those guys. :-x :)

We will play a lot of players which will help us play "faster" as Coach said. I expect the two fives aforesaid to play significant minutes and I wouldn't at all be surprised if Hamilton and Richardson see some spot minutes. If Richardson can knock down threes at a better clip than the other 2s and 3s you can never have too many shooters.

With this year's depth of talent, minutes are going to go to the players that put in the work and can best execute the coaches schemes. It's that simple.
