The recruiting class of 2012 conversation has been dominated by Perry Ellis threads on just about every one of the schools mentioned (KU, KSU in particular). I have a prediction that might be of interest to Shocker fans: there is a kid now playing in the City League that will be in the Rivals 150 before the 2012 signing date rolls around.
Nathan Jackson is a 6-5 (and growing) Junior at Wichita East, with great length and serious hops. He has a smooth jump shot, very unselfish demeanor (which makes him an afterthought in the Allen scheme), and some very polished handles. Both parents were D-I athletes--Mom a World Class high jumper, Dad a Quarter miler. He is a good student and has the kind of character that Coach Marshall looks for. Discipline in the home, on the court, and on the street.
Ask Coach Marshall, and he may speak softly, but he wants him. This is a kid in the sights of several B-12 schools including KSU and Mizzery, where he went to their elite camp this last summer. Plays with one of the KC touring teams and will be among the best in Kansas when he is finished growing up. I have seen him playing pick-up with some of the WSU players this past fall.
Start giving him some attention (fans) and he will feel right at home in the Gold and Black.
