In the same vein as this video was made, the WSU athletic department recently had a poll to see which songs people would like to see the basketball team enter the floor to.

"Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes was mentioned several times, because of its reference to Wichita, working the fields, dripping sweat and blood, and going back home. Audio is somewhat of a hobby of mine, and since many have voiced their frustration with the sound system, I went ahead and re-cut and organized this song for a basketball game, and made additional EQ and dynamics processing adjustments to try and emphasize the beat and give it more punch.

I'm hoping to take it to the athletic department this week and see if they'd be interested in using it. I'm going to try and find out who the proper contact is tomorrow. Anybody on here have any ideas on who sets up the music to play before the team enters?

          I like it Steele.

Let's hope it goes through well with the athletic department.

I also hope the intro video takes a step up after a mediocre effort last year.
          Deuces Valley.
          ... No really, deuces.

Actually the video was ok for me. The music wasn't. You couldn't get a cadence going - nothing to clap to.

I agree, the video was very impressive, and the U2 song selection was also very good. There's a great bass and drum part in there. Unfortunately, the song needs to be re-EQ'd so that those parts are accented and give the audience an easy beat to clap to. As it was all we could hear was the Edge's super-delay echo-y riff.

That's what I'm hoping to avoid with my rendition of "Seven Nation Army" (or "Seven Nation WuShock" as my friend calls it). Pump up the drums and bass. Make them snappy.
