  • No scrimmage?

At this point I think we can forget about a 2nd exhibition game and I have real doubts about the Shockers having a scrimmage. According to WildJay the known scrimmages by MVC teams are: Creighton @ Colorado, Iowa St. @ Bradley and UMKC @ Drake.

I think I could put a competitive squad from my noon hour YMCA game together to scrimage the Shox. lol :yahoo:

I thought I heard ‘The Bruce’ recently mention something like this, “the Shockers will play the first of two exhibitions against Newman on November 10th.” Yes, I might have misunderstood him; however I ass/u/me/d we would be playing Newman twice.

Funny how easy it is to play Big 12 teams when there's no fans or media around.

For CU and BU but apparently not for the Shockers.

Maybe there were too many reports from the KSU scrimmage last year for the Mildcats liking.

I think KSU cancelled this year because they need to make money at an exhibition to fund the Ron Prince buyout.

                Secret Scrimmages

Too bad it's come to this. It turns out many of the big boys will, in fact, play midmajors. The only stipulation: no one can watch or speak of what they see.

I think KSU doesn't wanna take a chance at losing to us in a scrimmage again, only this time, as a perceived Top 5 squad.

I thought the publicity restrictions and being closed to fans and media were by NCAA dictate, although I wouldn't bet the farm on that.

I know the Lady Shocks are having a controlled scrimmage with Tulsa although I have no idea where or when.

As I recall no fans or media and the coach and staff can only discuss general things about the scrimmage, no won/lost, etc. But things still work their way out from behind the closed doors.
