Really impressed with Tad. Reasons for not considering him are mind boggling to say the least.

I always liked the man and have no doubt he would have been very successful here as well.

He's going to do quite well in the Pac 10

If CU upsets KU will that be good enough to get them into the dance?

If so, that can't be good for MSU.

With an rpi of 64 (3 places behind WSU) it would be hard to call them a lock.

But I would say that they are definitely on the right side of the bubble and will probably be in the dance.

As I recall from when Boyle took the NCol job, Schaus wasn't going to hire a coach with no HC experience. That's a valid reason. Schaus had enough connections and budget that he could get coaches with proven D1 experience.

Boyle did a miracle at NCol. That program was divisional D1 when he got there and the players were left from the D2 days. If he's now taking Colordo from a laughingstock to NCAA bubble in his first year - that's another miracle.

I have a feeling Turgeon is thrilled to see Colorado moving to the PAC-10 or 12.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I would like to see a home/home with Tad's team. That would be a welcome addition to our schedule.

                          Why is that?

That is a valid reason, and one I would rarely argue against. One could make a fairly decent argument that Tad was a special case however.

Nevertheless, that wasn't the only reason.

Because he doesn't want to face a friend 2x a year in the new format?

                                WSU didn't beat K-State 3x in a year either.
