Shox ranked 32 in Preseason USA/ESPN poll. Will be ranked top 25 after Maui imo~

I'm actually kind of surprised to see us that high. I suspect we might even be higher in the AP. Not sure about being ranked after Maui though, unless we win the whole thing. There won't be enough bad losses in the current Top 25 to move us up. Our best chance is probably if we beat SDSU, if we lose that game, we probably won't be Top 25 until 2011.

I am not surprised to be this high at all. I think we have a good opportunity to be in the top 25 after Maui and but I fully expect us to be in the top 30. We will be in the top 25 at some point during the season.

I was amazed to see so many similarities between the third and forth ranked teams. Must be an outbreak of cat-scratch-fever. Better hide the women and children.

That is more like it...I like the love from Katz. I really feel we are a true top 25 team.

On October 15th Katz put out his presesaon top 25 on ESPN, and WSU was not in his top 25. I wonder what made him change his mind?

                      I'll save KCShox the trouble.

This is NOT a top 25 team. Yes, it has the potential to be a Top 25 team, and maybe even higher, but in my humble opinion has done little to warrant that kind of attention, at least to this point.

Yeah, but preseason polls are always more about potential than what you have proven. Even the teams that proved something last year generally have lost players. As Saban said about his football team, proving that you were the best team in the nation last season doesn't mean you have proven anything this season.

Now if you want to say that preseason polls are meaningless because they are only a subjective gauge of potential, then I'll completely agree with you.

I know we are debating on another thread Hatter, but I can't agree with you more.
