I'll be satisfied when HCGM says he is satisfied.

Slightly off topic...can anyone tell me how long GM contract is for? Anyone else think this year will be the time for an extension and a raise?

The first of many trips to the Big Dance for the Shockers with HCGM as coach.

Win the Conference title for sure. Win some games in the Big Dance (the more the better)....I'd prefer if we were the strongers seed in both of our first 2 games. I'm sure however if we don't with the conference but still win some games in the NCAA tournament, I'll still be satisfied.

Agree with previous poster...MVC Championship or St Louis Tourney Champs...Hover around or in top 25 and an NCAA Tournament win....Some may say this is a low bar and I would hope for more but I have been a fan for a long time and like to temper my preseason dreams

Those are my expectations for this season.

Yes it is a little cart before the horse but do you know when his contract goes through?

It doesn't really matter how long his contract is. It will always be 5+ years no matter what. Unless he starts sucking which isn't going to happen.

I'm going to work through the contract duration as I recall the events:

                        - Received 7 years initially.
                        - Three of those years are now gone.
                        - There as been one 1-year extension.

So my guess is that he has five years remaining, including this season. That would put him through the 2014-2015 season.

                          That appears to be correct.

WICHITA, Kan. ? Wichita State University head men's basketball coach Gregg Marshall has agreed to a one-year contract extension that ensures his employment through April 15, 2015, Director of Athletics Eric Sexton announced today.

This is all correct, but I am fairly certain that HCGM's contract has been rolled over 1 year, every year since he arrived.

I feel confident in wagering that, today, he has a 7 year contract to be head basketball coach at THE Wichita State University.

Winning the regular season or the tourney outright; nothing else will suffice.

                                Go Shocks!!!!
