I think someone does not understand the concept of media markets. One of the advantages of being an urban school is having a media market, instead of having to cobble together a bunch of rural stations that broadcast to more cows than people.

Both schools have worldwide access to their broadcasts over the internet, so the fact that KSU had to put together a broad geographical network to reach their rural fanbase in pre-internet days while WSU had an actual media market to broadcast to is pretty much meaningless.

We have no problem listening to KSU games here at our lake cabin on Table Rock on WHB 810 or over the internet anywhere else in the world.

All free. Wrong again WheatShockers. The reason WSU sports aren't carried on stations outside of Wichita is that those stations can't sell advertising for those games. Nobody cares. Nobody would listen.
It's funny how you pick and choose which battles you fight. Your original troll remark was not being able to find television stations outside of Wichita that carried WSU games. You got royally owned on that one. Then, you got asked what television station the elite Kitten State football game was on yesterday. And you briskly ignored it. Why do you ignore these things? It's easy. You were dead wrong and got completely dismantled on them. You're not even a "good" troll. You can't even get your "zings" right. That's even more pathetic than just being a regular troll.

The facts have already been laid out. You have radio coverage that covers the entire state. What you don't realize is that it's over rural, agricultural areas. Owning the Mid-America Ag Network is not something that you should be pounding your manboobs about.

I honestly think you feel WSU is more of a threat to you than KU. Always the comparisons between WSU and KSU. Always lingering on a WSU fan site parading KSU agricultural radio tendencies, etc.

WSU is the one that you look up at.

Can we please ban this guy already? What is he even doing here? He's got the 3rd ranked team in the country, and nothing better to do that sling insults at a fellow state institution's message board?
I agree with this. Timely banter is fine. Intelligent banter is halfway-decent. But this guy is nothing but slandering WSU with his inaccurate perceived notions of reality.

He's now gotten to the point of straight trolling. I thought one of the rules of this board was for visitors to be extra mindful of where they were posting and no CONSTANT bashing of WSU, i.e. trolling.

Again, I'm all for a little banter now and then. But this agricultural waste product is taking wayyyy advantage of the moderator's tolerance and pushing the rules over the limits. I think he's had ample time to prove his value to this board here. I think his time has run out.

Kansas State University is an agricultural-centralized institution. BSCat gets pissed when people come at his college with that angle. That's the reason it's being mentioned. It is nothing against you personally. Let's hope you can understand this.

This is yet another reason why this place would be better without a troll named BSCat.

I don't fully understand the media issue that BSCat brings up, but common sense leads me to believe that the WSU reaches about 500,000 with one station while K-State needs about 30 stations to reach that many people in the rural areas of western Kansas and NW Kansas.

I do think WSU should market itself better in SE Kansas, and from the OK state line up to Salina. There should be some stations in those areas that cover WSU athletics. The Shox should own southcentral and southeast Kansas. Perhaps this is something with which ADES can focus.

I don't think BSCat should be banned. I like his/her entertainment. It's funny stuff.

                Hi BS-Cat,

My guess is that your initial "I'm going to have a little innocent fun with the supposed "little guy...Wichita State" was harmless enough. Ok, my skin is tough...and to be honest, I like cleaver people. If it is innocent fun, and cleaver, we can banter. Your innocent and harmless fun (notice I left out cleaver) has gone south of the line and is now just irratating. You come accross as arrogant. Remember this site is for supporting Wichita State athletics. There are rules for posting:

                * All pariticipants are asked to conduct themselves with class.
                * Post will not contain: Constant or unconstructive critisism of WSU, coaches or players.
                * NOTE TO FANS OF OTHER SCHOOLS: This is a forum for Wichita State fans. you are a GUEST here & should conduct yourselves accordingly.

You have violated the spirit of this fan board. I am not alone in welcoming anybody on to this board...providing it is done with a respectful spirit. I haven't been a member long enough to know if anyone has been banned before. I don't necessarily want you banned, but your current attitude has run its course. Take this for what it is worth in you eyes. Your immediate behavior moving forward will tell me and others where your respectul spirit is. And just for the record, for what it is worth, I root hard for both K-State & KU, but I am 100% passionate about my black and gold. And that trumps everything else. Good day :goshocks:

Do you have a working internet connection?

At least our package is no worse than the Mid America Ag Network.

See BS-Cat, my fellow posters responded right on queue. I like clever people more so than cleaver people...it's less messy that way; although we see our fair share of cleaver's on cable this time of year. :P
