2 questions...

Is channel 12 / cox 22 carrying Shocker games this year? Goshockers shows the national and regional games, and KNSS carrying all games on radio. I see nothing about local TV.

Also, I still see no evidence of a 2nd exhibition or news of a scrimmage since K-State backed out. Whats going on with this?

With the season starting in about 3 weeks, I would think these things would be settled by now...

Checked back to last years press release. It was coincidentally announced on 10/19! So, anytime I expect we will hear something. :good:

I have Cox, but I really wish they'd put the games on a real station. I don't care which one.

I know I'm dreaming, but I wonder what it would take to get the local broadcasts in HD? I figure if channel 12 can do their local news in HD, why not the Shocker games?

My hunch is because it costs a lot more to do the HD broadcast remotely than it is in house at the station. Even many ESPN2 and ESPNU telecasts are not in HD.

Our local multimedia provider is dropping DirecTV and putting together his own "cable" package. I've begged him to try and get Kansas 22, mainly for the Shocker games. He's a WSU grad so we'll see what happens. But I fear that Cox won't allow it.

I don't really care which channel they are on. A better question is who would you rather see as the commentators? I get so tired of Brent er.. I mean Bruce and Craig. They are brutal.

No doubt that if KWCH is the one with the rights will use Bruce but surely there is a better choice out there.

But it'd be MUCH better if they put them on a station everyone can get. MSU appears to have a better setup than we do and that's sad.

On COX 22 televised games, I turn down the sound down and listen to MK and DD on the radio. Bevis and Butt Head try so hard not to be homers it's sickening.

That's the only way to go. They usually get the sound synched up pretty well with the video. They adjust their delay because they know a lot of people are doing that.

It's interesting when the radio gets ahead. You hear what's coming a few seconds before you see it. At first that was irritating. Now I use it as a way to watch for key points in a play or watch for a foul or no call.
