It must be terrible to have a northeast Kansas bias AND be a KSU fan AND have to come to this forsaken part of the state to get a job.

If it's any consolation to the kitty fans, Sedgwick County is the state's leading producer of dairy products. We got lots of cows here, so KSU grads never have to feel lonely.

There's lots of sheep around these parts, too, but I'm not going to say where to find them. I fear for their safety if the KSU guys happen to find them.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I wasn't there but I heard that when Frank was a featured speaker to a USD 259 teachers group, he was asked about playing WSU and he said that Gregg was probably more interested than he was, and indicated that he was holding it up. Maybe he was covering for someone else but I didn't get the impression from people who were there.

My mistake. I misread AndShock's comment and jumped to the conclusion it was referencing the cancelled scrimmage.

As for playing the Shocks a real game, he's probably no different than most BCS coaches with programs in the top 20. BCS schools use conference play to validate their worthiness where mid majors need to prove it in the non-con. HCGM isn't big on "one and dones" and rightfully so. But I doubt we could get a home and home against Gonzaga, Xavier, or Butler either. I guess one could say they're gutless, too.

My comment was basically just encompassing everything, the scrimmage, a normal game. The biggest thing I think was the IBA - Manhattan deal Marshall was offering after Martin said he wanted to play there.

Another great prediction about Frank Martin from the WheatShockers. Let's revisit a few:

            1. Frank was only named head coach to keep the Beas and as soon as he left so would Frank.

            2. Frank would not be able to keep up recruiting on a high level.

            3. Frank cheats and would put KSU on probation.

            4. As soon as a "bigger" school offered Frank would leave.

            All wrong, wrong, wrong.

And it's really fun pointing out reality to everyone here. It's especially fun getting WheatShockerFever all riled up.

And lastly I seriously doubt anyone here saw the '70 Wyandotte team play. I did and I saw the '77 Heights team. There was more individual talent on that Heights team for sure but the Wyandotte team was much, much better coached and IMHO would have beat the Heights team maybe 7 out of 10 games.

2.) You don't get me riled up. I get you riled up. I have a reason for being here because I'm a WSU fan and this is a WSU board. Your reason for being here is what exactly again? WSU completes you. That is why. You have a clear complex about WSU and it is fascinating to watch BSCat. That's why you ignore all of my posts towards you and can only talk about me in cute little sentence fragments. You ignored me because you could not counter the fact that you have a regional bias. You get called out time after time for being a hypocrite because you can't defend it.

You have a regional bias that has skewed your opinions. You have an obsession with Wichita State and what its fans think. You genuinely care more about what they think than what any other fanbase (including your own) thinks. We are glad that you think so highly on us and look up to WSU.

So how did that corn taste the other night? LMAO. So much for that ESPN pub.

Fixed. But also great job tonight on FSNKC. Dozens saw. Fewer cared. I laughed again. NU is going hang a hundred on the Gawks.

                2) See #1. His lack of experience as a D-I HC made this concern very legitimate and, again, I'm certain many kittie fans were equally concerned.

                3) Sorry, I haven't heard this one bantered about here. However, it is a little too soon to know. My personal opinion is that he does it right.

                4) Again, a little too soon to know. I'm sure the "bigger" schools are still carefully watching.

Many here have commented how wrong they were about Martin and are impressed with what he has done. As time has gone on, even like the guy.

So don't go making lame accusations and lumping everyone (even most here). I will try to do the same and not think all kittie fans are like you.

By the way, I didn't see the '70 Wyandotte team (but knew of them), but I did see the '69 team and the the '77 Heights team. IMHO Heights was better.

                Nothing. Zero. Noughta.

WheatShockerFever you just can't figure out that this is just all in fun and you are welcome to come over to GPC and have fun with us there. If you can afford the $10/month it costs. BTW, why doesn't WSU have a premium board? That's how you keep "riffraff" like me off your board. You guys should really look in Rivals - great individual school boards plus the main Rivals board is one of the best out there and the recruiting info is tops. Creighton is there and they are an MVC school along with being a commuter school with no football like WSU. Just a thought.

I don't know, I kind of like Shockernet. Many of the Creighton fans I've heard HATE the new rivals board compared to the old Blue Jay Cafe.

It's nice not having to pay so much. Also, just because you represent another school doesn't make you 'riff-raff'. If you had been posted anything truly offensive the moderators would've gotten rid of you.

The Flint Hills? Good agricultural stuff out there, eh? Running some cattle pens or something?

BSCat, you are grossly ignorant as always. You couldn't pay me to read a purple kitten infested site. Why? I simply don't care. Quite the opposite of you, in which you deeply care what Shocker fans think - and it's a compliment. You are also grossly mistaken about having a premium board and keeping the trolls out. ShockBand is just a click of the button away from canning you. It's amazing that you haven't worn out your welcome already with him. If that happened, what would you do with all the time on your hands? Who else would you obsess over?????!1

Rivals is gay. Do they have an equestrian board over there on Powertards.com?

Again, I don't think you seem to be understanding the fact that I don't care about Kansas State University or its fans. The fact that we don't play in basketball makes it even less of a reason for me to care. You obviously care what WSU fans think and are constantly thinking about us. That's fine. But I don't have the mutual feelings.

Your second paragraph was weak and kind of embarrassing. Curling is also an olympic sport. So is ice dancing. What's your point again? Oh yeah, I think im4wsu already answered it.
