Cotton, 6-foot-3... is extremely physical on both ends of the court," Whitefield Academy coach Tyrone Johnson said. "He is a tremendous ball defender and gets to the basket."
    Welcome to the program, Tekele.

Cotton looks like the prototypical HCGM recruit--tough on defense, plays with lots of confidence, but that many of the 'big schools' overlook because he has some aspect of his game that needs some work--work that our coaching staff just happen to know how to help him with!

So, we now have two SG/SF commits in this class. I have to think that the coaches are done pursuing guards and will be focusing on post players for the last two spots (assuming we have no defections, which we know can always happen and usually do).

I know they won't stop recruiting guards and will keep in touch as a contingency plan.

I'm thinking we definitely get a PF of some kind. I also suspect they're still looking for a SF.

I think you are right Cotton is a pg/sg and Wessel is a sg/sf. We really need a 4. With Durley, Blair, and possibly Ellis leaving there is a big gap. Hamilton is there but unproven. We might need a JUCO PF...too bad Goff went to OU.

As far as SF goes, we have Smith and Richardson...I think the PF is much more of a priority.

If Hamilton is an (effective) SF I'll eat my shoe. Also we will be very good.

I think we need a TON of help at the 4 AND the 3.

Possibly Ellis? He is a senior so Ellis will be gone as well

RH, he's probably referring to the possibility, as discussed in the EO topic, that Ellis could redshirt this year.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Stutz playing PF next year.

There's still a need to sign a PF in this recruiting class. And one who's ready to contribute and get minutes in his first year.

The 2006 team did fine with only 3 available front court players. The 2007 team didn't do so well.

It's kind of interesting to speclate about whether one of the post players can eat some minutes at PF, instead of speculating whether a 6'7" PF can eat some minutes in the post.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

That's my thinking. If they think Hamilton will be ready to contribute I'm all for a FR PF. If there's any concern a JUCO is just fine. I'm really hoping we land a FR SF. We have a number of guards who can play there, but we all want the 6'6"-6'9" type of wing and we're recruiting a number of them.

Cotton seems like a CG with quality PG skills from what I've read. Wessel has been described by different people as being able to play anywhere on the perimeter. But we seem to have a solid amount of guards and not so much your typical SF. I know that's not a necessity but it'd be nice.

                            I meant Richardson.
