Can I get a little help here? Apparently his blog site is now considered social networking and blocked here at work.
Freshman forward Jerome Hamilton is on crutches and wearing a boot on his right foot. I don’t know anything more than that on his injury.
WSU is looking for a scrimmage opponent. If it can’t find one, the Shockers could schedule another exhibition game.
I had a short conversation with Darron Boatright, WSU’s new senior associate athletic director. In one of his previous stops, he served as director of basketball operations at Alabama (1998-2005) and handled its scheduling. He has some good strategies on scheduling and I would think he be a useful person for that task in the future.
The WSU women start practice on Oct. 5. The men start 10 days later.

Thanks. Hopefully it's nothing major and they're just being very careful. I know we're not expecting to have to rely on him for significant minutes this year, but long term injury can set back his development for when we'll need him next year.

Just so I don't get Matt P'd for plaigarism, I will run it through the jive translator to paraphrase it for ya:
Freshman fo'ward Jerome Hamilton be on crutches and wearin' some boot on his right foot. Man! ah' don’t know nuthin mo'e dan dat on his injury. Slap mah fro!
Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
I asked a player today after their pickup game, what the details were on jeromes injury.
After laughing at me for even knowing about it in the first place, he seemed very at ease saying that Jerome came down on someones foot in practice/pickup (one of the two). They were all pretty shocked that his foot's in a boot. indicating that it shouldn't be a big deal and that the boot was most likely an precaution.
You know, I am beginning to wonder why we even recruited Hamilton and Richardson at this point? If they don't play this year, I will wonder even more.
I might sit for 1 year, but not 2 years.
What does this even mean? If you look at the talent in front of them, not breaking into the lineup says nothing about their talent. Just because you wouldn't sit for 2 years, doesn't mean other people wouldn't wait 2 years to get their shot (especially with 3 years of eligibility left).
You do realize that running a very deep rotation means playing 10 guys and basketball teams have 13 scholarships, don't you? Do you think we should just leave 3 scholarships open, because if someone doesn't make it into the rotation within 2 years they must be a bust?
In case you haven't figured this out, good teams have good players that end up sitting on the bench.
