I haven't found a good link yet but it's breaking on things like tweeter that Bruce Pearl is banned from off campus recruiting for one year. Also will have a reduction in salary. I understand these are self-imposed by Tennessee.

Pretty ironic give Pearl's previous actions of throwing other coaches under the bus for cheating. I'll bet there are some Illini out there smiling today...

I don't know, the sanctions sounded significant to me, 1.5 mil fine, 25% reduction in all assistant coaches salaries, a ban for periods of time on recuriting off campus.

At least this punishment actually punishes the coaches themselves for breaking the rules. The NCAA should learn from this and figure out a way to work that type of punishment into their final decisions along with punishment of the programs.

The punishments do seem to be pretty severe, but remember they were sanctions that Pearl and the administration talked over and probably there was some give and take between the two parties. Its all just a matter of trying to get the ncaa to buy into it and not get any other sanctions. I always remember a former coach that said you never want to get caught lying to the ncaa. I think/hope they will come down very hard on that particular action by Pearl. Oh, by the way, I think he's a weasle too.

Is there anything better than seeing Coach Pearl, the cockiest coach in America, other than that evening his team was pasted by the Shockers, twist in the wind? He lies and cheats, and gets kissed on the lips by his AD. He could coach at KU or KState.
