lew had it made at ku-and he still screwed it up. Cheaters are always found out sooner or later.

I don't know if there's any fire here, but I sure smell the smoke.

First, Lew "announced his retirement" at approximately the exact time that KU finished up their "internal investigation" of him. That already looked suspicious.

Now is a reasonable time frame for the investigations (NCAA and Federal) to be looking at Lew and out of the clear blue sky he decides to retire a couple months ahead of the previously announced retirement date.

I see four theories of what's really going on:
1) Lew is going to get indicted.
2) The NCAA is going to find irregularities (lack of institutional control) in the KU athletic department.
3) Lew has a terminal illness that isn't going to be made public
4) Lew just got tossed out on his ear
