  • Sick and Bored, I have 2 interesting subjects

The Mid-Majority will make some people cringe, but they are doing a countdown.

Site will be available soon. Thank you for your patience!

Without factoring in a couple of items (I have no idea about offense efficiency) I have us at 99 points (I told you I was sick AND bored).

So far they've covered 30 places and only gone from 29 points to 38 points.

Where do you think we'll land?

Also, I didn't see it mentioned, but cheap shot artist O'Jerkoff signed with the Reds and seemingly is still playing pro ball. What are the rules about attending school and is there any info out there if he is in class? Of course the Panther board has next to nothing.

The redline upset is a win over what they determine to be the 8 conferences not midmajor.

We benefit mightily from this equation, if I read it correctly.

At a glance, I believe we are ahead of UNI and CU. I certainly could be wrong. I haven't checked SIU. I think they have more, but it could be close.

I don't know how the rules work, but Clemson's QB, Kyle Parker, signed with the Colorado Rockies, but under the contract will be able to play for Clemson this fall.

As long as he's not being paid to play the sport that he participates in school it's all good. It's what Coy was offered out of HS I believe so he could still play basketball at ASU

I seem to remember something when he signed with the Reds that he got the okay to go back for his senior year and play basketball.

He's fine to play basketball even though he's sgned a pro contract in baseball. He can't play baseball this fall - oh, that's right - his school doesn't have baseball any more.

The catch is that he's being paid and the organization paying him control him. The problems of being controlled by a professional organization while trying to participate as an amateur in another sport were discussed when Coy transferred here after turning down a pro contract that would have allowed him to play baseball as a pro and basketball at ASU.

At that time there were discussions of practice time, summer conditioning and other things that make that difficult for a Fr. It's probably less difficult for a Sr. and particularly for O'Rear. O'Rear's basketball game doesn't seem to rely on a lot of practice or teamwork. O'Rear seems to be the basketball equivalent of a hockey "enforcer".
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Well, I guess nobody cared but me. Anyway, the first Valley team to make an appearance is Illinois State at #46. That should mean that half the Valley teams are in the top 50 at least(WSU, UNI, CU, SIU are locks and BU and DU are probably there as well.)

I've been checking in on it every week or so. Will definitely be interesting to see where we fall.

Not true Doc. Been into that site several times a week since you posted it. Looks like the top half of the Valley should start showing up soon. It's going to be interesting to see where each team falls and how close they are to each other.

So what we'll end up having is the AP top 25 and then the Missouri Valley conference starting at about #37 to about #55 and only one invite to the dance again.
