Looks like Doc also expects that D-II Godot will indeed be on the schedule.

In all seriousness, I'd much rather see the schedule feature one D-II school -- essentially an in-season exhibition -- than a D-I disaster programwho knocks a few decimal points off the RPI in return for just 0.6 wins (the RPI value of a home victory).

Al least Texas Southern is better than playing Evansville. Thank goodness the RPIs don't carry over....at least we know they can't get any worse.


Here's what I don't get....the goal is (or should be) to win the National Championship. If that's the goal, don't you want to do everything you can to reach that goal.....even if some of that would be considered overreaching?

We're either going to have to be the next Memphis, Gonzaga or bite the bullet and play at least 1 more road game. We know the penalty....win 28+ games or win the Valley tourney or play in the NIT.
