  • LSU Game

Not sure if this is public knowledge but it looks like we'll play LSU in Bossier City (wherever in the hell that is) on December 18.

Bossier City and Shreveport may as well be the same town. It's kinda like Edmond and Oklahoma City.

I wonder if this is the SEC game that another poster thought was in the making and the players were reportedly excited about.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I wouldn't think so as this was already a done deal to be played this year and the rumored team is still up in the air.

I'm not sure Aargh, but this game was still due as part of the package 1:1:1, with this being the final of the series. It was supposed to occur in consecutive seasons, but LSU requested to postpone. Thank goodness we didn't let them off the hook.

Interesting .. 1:1:1 ... Bossier is hardly a neutral court, LOL. BUT .. we are going to smack them for the third time in less than 5 years, so it might as well be in their own backyard.

Hats off to them for making the contract in the first place though, at least they have balls whereas the rest of the BCSers can kiss my arse.

I think we knew all along that it was going to be short driving distance from LSU. Eitherway it's not going to make much difference, it's during football season, so there will probably be more WSU fans there than LSU fans.

Has anybody pursued getting tickets for this game?

I called 316-978-FANS and was told to contact the LSU ticket office. When I said that didn't sound right, and that I wanted to get tickets in the Wichita State block/allocation, not just tickets to the game, the kid checked with the supervisor and came back with the same answer.

I've never bought tickets to a neutral site game - is this normal? I always assumed that there were a few dozen/hundred tickets located in the same area for road games, and that someone on the Wichita State end managed the supply of those tickets.

Single game tickets are not available yet. LSU is only selling season tickets and packages right now, and the arena isn't selling tickets to the event either.

WSU will get some tickets, and I am probably going to wait until I find out where those tickets are so I can buy near them (unless I am lucky enough to get 4 out of that allotment). I am not at all concerned about getting good tickets. That will not be an issue.

The tickets WSU will get will be for family and friends only and that is very standard for road and semi-road games. It's just usually at neutral sites, there are a lot more avenues to get tickets, via 3rd party distributors and various corporate entities.

We'll get good tickets, GN. Never fear. If you are going, remind me via PM in case I forget and I'll let you know when I find out where the WSU tickets will be.

I wouldn't think tickets would be hard to find. They're all about football at this time of the year and even if their BB team is doing very good almost no one follows BB and no game is a sellout.
