  • Paul Wight

For those who follow Shocker history and trivia...

I happened to catch the beginning of "Dinner Impossible" on the Food Network tonight, and the intro featured none other than The Big Show Paul Wight acting intimidating toward the show's chef.

One would think that at 400+ pounds, Wight should know something about eating, so he was probably well cast.

Too bad he was such a terrible basketball player. 300 pound (at that time) paper weight.... I'm actually glad that he was able to be successful even though professional wrestling has no appeal to me.

Wasn't he on the last team to beat CU in Omaha? I guess it's all relative, but just sayin'.

I remember that there were a couple of kids that we passed on in order to get Wight. I think their names were Tommy and Charlie Wong.

Coach had some catchy explanation for picking Paul over Tommy and Charlie. Don't recall what it was.

So are you saying that he did not make the Wong choice?
