Another player whose prior school performance would not be indicative of his later level of play is Ekpe Udoh, of Baylor University. When he first went to Michigan, his stats would have not predicted his later success. Many people would have looked at his Michigan statistics and said, "We'll pass on him!"
He transferred to Baylor, sat out his transfer year and became a real force this past year for the team. His play during the tournament was incredible. If you predicted his future level of performance on his experience at Michigan, your assessment would have been way off.
As has been stated, some players just do not pan out at their first school. However, given time and a change of environment, many of them thrive. I hope this is the same thing that happens for Kenny.
