Certain HC do not like and some despise a HI dribble....I dont think his shooting was the biggest issue he has.1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... I am with many of the other posters, who thought a redshirt year would have been a world of good for Kenny.
Other than shooting the ball, he sure has a lot of potential."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

"Kenny Manigault is transferring from Wichita State and returned to his Summerville home over the weekend. He is going to make visits to The Citadel, USC Upstate, Spartanburg Methodist Junior College, Coastal Georgia J.C. and Gulf Coast .JC. Manigault said he's looking at the junior college route as a way to increase his stock for possible high major offers. He plans to make a decision in June. "

Manigault said he's looking at the junior college route as a way to increase his stock for possible high major offers.
This part of the quote makes it sound like he thinks that he belongs at a higher level than WSU? I really hope that's someone else's interpretation of Kenny's words.
I predicted in March that Kenny would be advised of the areas of his game that needed attention and that if he stayed at WSU that would indicate his desire to work on those parts of his game, but if he left, that would indicate something else.
Maybe the change of scenery and a different coaching approach will get Kenny focused on the parts of his game that need work. I certainly hope so.
Kenny had his shot at being a role-player (or better) on a team with legitimate top-25 prospects next year, but that didn't work out. I don't know how much higher his goals or his evaluation of his skills indicate he should be playing.
This statement seems to shed an unfortunate light on some reasons Kenny didn't find a fit at WSU.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Maybe I'm reading into it differently.
If he leaves a top 25-30 program, why wouldn't he want to roll up his sleeves, work his ass off, and try to get on at a top 15-25 program? Otherwise, in his eyes, why did he ever leave WSU?
He needs time to reflect on why he left. Sometimes people don't know what they have until it's gone, and most of us don't know why he left. But I do wish him the best and hope he does end up at a great program through his hard work and sweat equity.

^ Bingo!
That's what I'm hoping for too and I wish Kenny the best. If the change of scenery gives him the opportunity or motivation to develop into a great player, I'm all for it.
I agree that Kenny needs something that, for whatever reason, he didn't find here. I hope he finds it and that in a couple of years WSU fans wish he would have stayed. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
