I would like to introduce a new award - the prize being only the dishonor winning it brings . . .

The MVC Fool of the Year

There are three categories:

Coach
Player
General

Coach and player nominees are self-explanatory. General includes anyone else associated with Missouri Valley basketball, including but not limited to: administrators, journalists, radio or TV personalities and web site writers, moderators or administrators.

I will make the first nominations:

Coach: Dana Altman for his juggling act with P'Allen Stinnett and costing his team a win with a late game technical.
Player: Jordan Eglesder for his whatever-Iowa-calls-it arrest.
General: Matt Perrault. Has anyone not directly associated with a program done more to piss off his target audience?

After a few days or so of nominations, we'll have a final poll for voting. Then perhaps an overall FOY among the three categorical winners.

Player: P'unk - he's deserved it every year he has been in the league and the fact that even Dana would bench him proofs how bad things are.

General: Mattilda - admit it Royal, you created this category just for him, because it would be like creating a contest for most promiscuous saxophone playing president of the 1990s and suggesting that there might be more than one option.

Player: Taylor Brown, maybe an all valley type player if he didn't like to take pictures of his teachers and post them online with comments?
