Player evaluations may be going on, to be given to the players, doubt anything will be made public. If anything is made public I doubdt it will be anything negative.

Wouldn't these be the same thing as an employee evaluation? The only time you hear anything is if an employee resigns to explore new business opportunities.

The question here is what will Manigualt, Hamiton and Richardson be told about their future outlook as a Shocker.

From what I have read, I believe somebody has already expressed a possible desire not to return.

Possibility - all have had one year to scope out the situation and how they will fit in. If they have a place to fit in - they will be back IMO.

We have a policy here and it's pretty much respected - that we don't share. We don't get into rumors. Once it's in the press it's fair game.

Those who have the connections and know things before anything is in the newspaper or on the radio tend to keep what they know quiet.

Those who get information and share it here before the university and the player are ready to release that information will discover they no longer get any information.

You've got to let these things play out. Sometimes things change. Sometimes things aren't what they seem to be. Sometimes people don't want what's going on in their lives spread around before they've got everything lined up to hqndle it.

You need to re-read what he wrote. "From what I have read, I believe". We all have the same access to Shockernet and the Eagle. Unless there is something I haven't seen, this is pure speculation.

                    Departures

It's also possible, of course, that IF somebody is interested in not returning -- and the effort Marshall is putting into still recruiting 2010 guys makes that idea at least plausible -- it could be someone other than a first-year player who doesn't see much playing time in his future.

I can think of a veteran post player, for example, who might well see less time next year than a guy like Jerome Hamilton who would appear to have greater upside at this point, not to mention four years to realize it.

A senior to-be leaving would be bad for WSU's Academic Progress Rate (APR).
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

So very true, the APR is an aspect that is rarely thought of unless the rate is declining or below the norm. Of course then it's to late...

That is correct. I'll add that recent offers to both point guards and small forwards strengthens this belief. It's no secret we will bring in another point guard. Our offers to SFs appear solid.

What has been said publicly is there might be another opening. IMO it wouldn't of been said if there wasn't a strong probability of it happening. One reason for this type of info is to prepare the fans for the change.

The two redshirts and one scholarship player not seeing much PT would be the first to think of. They are young and a long ways from home.

I could certainly see Aaron not wanting to return for his senior season as he now has a family. Other than that, you never can tell what first year players are going to do.

If he still finishes school in the allotted time it wouldn't. The NCAA I believe changed how that was done a few years back.
