Recently, before the KU win by N. Iowa, I made a post sort of like "what if N. Iowa beat KU." Than I said 'naaaa." If I was a gambler, I would probably pick Michigan State to beat the Panthers. Now I hope I am wrong and I think Michigan State has some injury issues. I want NIU to win because that will bring in more bread to each Valley School. Sometimes it just comes down to peaking at the right time. N. Iowa has had their best year ever!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Listening to the talking heads a lot of them are going with UNI, I'd guess more still have Mich St, but all of a sudden they are throwing out all of these qualifiers that they didn't use when it was UNI vs the invincible KU.

20 minute interview with Izzo....Hes a scary good coach. underdog role for MSU.....I dont like it one bit. Ben has a tough job this week lets hope he has his guys mindset where it needs to be..

1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no way the MSU players are going to consider themselves an underdog to a lowly MVC directional school. I think that plays into UNI's favor, though.

                1. Izzo is one of the best coaches at being willing to schedule tough and demand fundamentally sound play out of his teams. This is why this team is tied for the longest current consecutive Sweet 16 appearances. They are a tough out in the NCAAs because they face good opposition before March and respect how dangerous those teams are.

                2. With the injury to Lucas, I have no doubt that the MSU players will be extremely focused for this game and unlikely to take winning for granted.

                3. No matter what, with the win over KU, UNI will be taken more seriously by any opponent moving forward.

I was truly impressed with the way KU played and cried afterwards. The level of tears somehow was appropriate to their lack of determination on the court.
