ASM, make sure you filter the sh*t next time please.

How does Parrish know what ratings are gonna be like? Have we ever had a mid vs. mid national championship? He's assuming a lot, which is stupid.

And don't tell me that Northern Iowa beating Michigan State to reach the ELITE EIGHT isn't cool. Sometimes it's more than about the names on the front of the jerseys Mr. Parrish.

And I think it's safe to say that no, we don't miss Kansas from being in the tournament.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

        Well how about this.

        HES RIGHT.

Yeah for us that follow mid major teams and know what kind of disrespect they see we would watch a Cornell Vs UNI final.

But we are a minority. The vast majority of people in the world dont give two shits about any team not in a power conference. Some are ignorant and idiotic. Some have some knowledge but stick to their guns.

But you people have to quit flip flopping. You will never be able to have your cake and eat it too.

It seemed to me the WSU vs George Mason game in 2006 was a hot draw, but mainly because it was a rematch due to the bracketbuster -- but still -- not all mid-v-mid games don't draw good ratings.
It didn't hurt that George Mason was just down the road from where the game was played.

I like the way the tourney is going. If they would have seeded UNI higher like they should have, they wouldn't have had to beat KU.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

As much as I'm a mid major guy all the way, I agree with what Parrish wrote. Look at this years tournament. What are your favorite games? I put them into four groups:

                      Best games:
                      UNI vs KU
                      ODU vs Notre Dame
                      St. Mary's vs Villanova

                      Worst games:
                      any #1 vs #16
                      Most #2 vs #15

                      Who cares? games:
                      Texas vs Wake Forest
                      Clemson vs Missouri
                      Oklahomas st vs Georgia Tech

                      Please don't do this games:
                      Butler vs UTEP
                      UNI vs UNLV

I think what most people want to see is the little guy (with a chance to win) take on the big guy. And I agree with him... we don't want to see little guys (with a chance to win) play other little guys with a chance to win. Thats a lose / lose scenario for the little guys. And I also think most people don't want to watch undeserving mediocre big guys play other undeserving mediocre big guys.

I think a final four of UNI vs Syracuse and Duke vs Kentucky with UNI taking on Kentucky, and winning the championship would considered the greatest final four of all time.

Think of our College World Series championship... would you rather had beaten Texas or Cal St Fullerton? Thank you, I'll take Texas :)

See thats what I am saying also. He made good points in his articles and he was doing his job and it got a lot of reads I am sure. But I just don't really like him as a columnist to begin with anyways.

If it's only about ratings then make sure UNC, KU, Kentucky, UCLA, Indiana, Duke, UConn, Syracuse and Georgetown or Florida are in the sweet 16 every year.
OR you can leave things the way they are and make them earn it.

Give me UNI, Butler, Cornell and St. Mary's...
