"UNI has become the eighth Valley team to reach the Sweet 16 since 1994. Notably, the Missouri Valley has received just 33 total bids from 1994-2010, meaning nearly one of every four Valley NCAA berths since 1994 have resulted in a Sweet 16 trip."
And the invites that did not result in a S16 went to Creighton.
That date range just about exactly corresponds to Altman's reign in Omaha. I think SIU is the only team with multiple S16's. If that's right, then 7 of 10 Valley teams have made a S16 since about the time Dana entered the league.
So, Valley teams not making a S16 during Altman's tenure are CU, UE and one more. Way to represent, D'Anal.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

That's 5 out of 10 teams. ILSU, INSU, DU, UE and CU have yet to make the S16 in the last 20 years.
That's what I thought the list was, Royal. Where are the other two S16's the Valley gets credit for coming from. The reported number is coming out at 8. Maybe that's to make up for and average out the under reporting by CBS and ESPN.
