    OMG LOL!

Taken from the comments section of a blog article by the KC Star's Joe Posnanski:

And, okay, I know this isn’t the Star, and I would never want this site to turn into the star comment forums, so I’ll limit myself to this: it warms my heart to think that, somewhere in Johnson County tonight, in some lame McMansion, some guy in a cartoon-bird sweatshirt just might have broken his remote control against the wall of his blue-and-red decorated AV room. It warms my heart a lot to think about that.

It warms my heart to think about all those millions of people scratching that fateful line through the letters KU on 4 lines on their bracket and writing 'UNI' on at least one of those lines.

      :yahoo:

What warms my heart is hearing them cry and moan about getting beat by a **** . . . basketball team from the MVC.

KU fans have always been a classless bunch of jerks and this has simply perpetuated down through the ages from father to son and now to grandsons.

        Will it never cease?

A team like Northern Iowa will never, ever win the National Championship. They are simply a landmine and we stepped on it. I have zero respect for teams that exploit the backward and old fashioned style of NCAA basketball and play a slow, frustrating to watch, unentertaining game. Those players will never play a second of NBA basketball. It's so, so, so, so frustrating. And yet we are "classless" if we don't send congratulatory responses to a sh** school in the Valley for screwing us.

The rest of the post is just as good:

Northern Iowa got a ton of lucky breaks and made a ton of lucky, guarded, off balance bullsh** shots. How about their 4 man trying to ram his head into Marcus on the block and then flinging the ball at the goal without looking with Morris' outstretched hand sky high? Then there are the countless loose balls off of missed three pointers that they got. Their center finding the ball between his legs and calling timeout. The ball bouncing right off of 2 KU bigs to a 6'6" "post player" chump that lays the ball in only to scream like a ret@rded, drunk Irish hooligan.

It's why the NBA does a best of 5/7 series. The NCAA does not concern itself with finding the true national champion. Instead, it's a meaningless out of conference season followed by a grueling conference regular season followed by a money grubbing conference tournament and then, a 65 team single elimination tournament with horrible officiating and 5 minute commercial breaks every 10 seconds. There is no rhythm to a NCAA tournament game. It's like rush hour traffic - stop and go, stop and go. And people wonder why so many kids go early. The NCAA game, with its 35 second shot clock, 5 second closely guarded rule, short three point shot, 20 minute halves, and absurd season and tournament do NOT prepare players for the NBA. The coaches do the best they can to develop them but the rules are so antiquated it probably hinders players' professional development. Would an NBA team be able to run Northern Iowa's offense? Well, no. They wouldn't be able to get a good shot off in under 24 seconds. And most of their outside shots wouldn't be three-pointers in the NBA. Also, they'd be called for all their hacking down low, something the officials freely let go inside all day.
Another poster even asked if KU would have won the national title in 1988 if it had been a 5/7 game series.

              I love it!

If Missouri would've pulled it out today, the meltdown would've continued at a record clip.
