    +1 :good: :yahoo:

The good games always seem to follow Gus Johnson around. Just like great chip ins in golf follow Verne Lundquisdt around.

It was a wonder he could even talk with his mouth full like that.

Glad someone else noticed this. It was horrible.

      • Actually if you guys will remember right Len Elmore called our games at the Old Spice last year. He was very complementary of our team and of our coach and of our program. It was great. Don't bash on him.

        • And he is Bob Elmore's brother.

But he wasn't good last night and clearly favored K-State.

            • Elmore

I didn't see much of the game, but I did catch the end of regulation, and I believe Elmore was the guy who said the refs badly blew the no-call then call that gave Xavier a chance to tie the game with three free throws -- and in my view, he was exactly right.

That may have been worse than the foul Memphis couldn't get called as they whacked away at Mario Chalmers on his way up the court to immortality a couple of years ago. At least Chalmers had to hit a three to tie the game rather than being given three freebies on a foul that at best was barely visible, and in any case was far less apparent than the one that wasn't called as he hustled up court.

I thought the first no-call was actually a good no-call because the offending player missed the first foul, then was so far behind the dribbler that he had to reach, having no chance to get the ball whatsoever and then reached with the other hand in a desparate attempt. If called, it should have been intentional, two shots and the ball.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

                  • That was some fun basketball to watch. It's nice watching games without a rooting interest for a change.

                        • UNI up 25-20 with just less than 4 left in the half. UNI with 7 turnovers.

                          • UNI up 7 at the half. UNI is amazing defensively. Make no mistake, they will be very good next year even without their current seniors.

                            • Does anyone have a radio link for the UNI versus MSU game?

                              Thanks!

                              • I hopped over to the UNI board, and through halftime, they had exactly one post post tip off in their game thread. Can you imagine if we were in the sweet 16 how long the game thread would be already be? (I suppose someone could go back and look at 06).
