On behalf of Redbird Nation...just wanted to say congrats on the win tonight. As this ISU fan said in multiple threads on multiple boards (this one included), we did and yet did not want to have a Redbird/Shocker semifinal matchup. However, it happened, it was a good hardfought game, and the best team won.

It was another great battle between our 2 schools for sure. Seemed like it could've been a different game if we had hit our FT's but oh well...after being 15-8 and looking dreary then finishing 22-10 I'll take it :D I know I can safely speak for the vast majority of Redbird fans when I say that if we were gonna be eliminated, we'd rather have it be at your hands than any other MVC team. That's the honest truth.

We are all Shocker fans tomorrow for your title game vs. UNI. I couldn't make it to STL this weekend but I've talked to several of our fans down there and they WILL be cheering for you guys tomorrow---much the same way you guys cheered for us vs. CU in the semi's last year. Trying to return the favor so to speak. Hope you guys take it to them Panthers and continue it on in whatever postseason awaits you. Chalk up another hardfought game between our 2 schools and best of luck going forward.

Redbirds are a gritty team. We were very lucky to come out on top today. The Nigerian Nightmare was a force. If he were ever to become just a decent free throw shooter, he'd be unstoppable.

We appreciate the sentiments and well wishes Phantom. The Redbirds are, by far, the classiest fans in this conference. It sucks that we had to meet in the semis, but as you mentioned, that's the way it goes.

I hope you guys get a good spot in the NIT and do some damage.

I hope you all come tomorrow. Please wear yellow. Since we are mostly sitting in the same sections, that will be awesome! Many Redbird fans were very gracious after the game. Both UNI fans I spoke to after the game sneered at me. Your coach is a class act. He had great training in Kansas!

Sorry I'm late. You guys have a very good team and deserved the W yesterday. If the Birds had to lose I can tolerate it against your program and your fans. Congrats. The Birds played a decent game and just lost to a better team. Period.

I will be cheering for you guys as hard as I can today. Go get that AUTO bid. Tell Stutz to play like he did yesterday and you guys will cruise.

It is always great to hear from the "Ghost of Rick Lamb." You and the Phantom are a class act and welcomed here on SN. The Shocks will give it their all today and we are hoping for the best. WSU winning today will probably be the only way the Valley can get 2 teams to the Dance!!!!!!!
